Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 yearly

Position Overview
As the Team Leader at Starlight Support Services, you will play a pivotal role in creating a loving and supportive atmosphere for the young persons entrusted to us. You will oversee the day-to-day operations of our care home, manage a team of caregivers, and work closely with partners to provide a stable and nurturing environment for young persons facing difficult circumstances.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage a team of caregivers and support staff, providing guidance and supervision.
Ensure the physical and emotional well-being of young persons in the home.
Develop and implement programs and activities that promote the young person’s development and social integration.
Collaborate with social workers, therapists, and educators to meet the individual needs of each young person.
Maintain accurate records and documentation related to the young person’s care and progress.
Manage budgets and resources to meet the needs of the home.
Implement and enforce policies and procedures that comply with regulations and best practices.
Foster a positive and inclusive culture within the young persons’ home.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Child Development, Psychology, or a related field; Master’s degree is a plus.
Proven experience in young person’s welfare, child care, or a related field, with managerial experience preferred.
Knowledge of trauma-informed care and best practices in residential young person’s care.
Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
Compassion, patience, and a deep commitment to the well-being of young persons.
Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
Knowledge of relevant regulations and licensing standards.
CPR and First Aid certification is a plus.
