Position Overview

As an IT Administrator at Starlight Support Services, you will be essential in ensuring the seamless operation and security of our technology infrastructure. You will collaborate with our team to maintain network systems, support end-users, and manage IT resources to enhance the overall efficiency and effectiveness of our organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, configure, and maintain hardware and software systems.

  • Monitor and manage network security, including firewalls, antivirus, and intrusion detection systems to protect against data breaches and cyber threats.

  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for end-users, resolving hardware, software, and network issues promptly.

  • Conduct regular system backups and data recovery operations to safeguard critical information.

  • Manage user accounts, permissions, and access rights to ensure compliance with security policies.

  • Implement and enforce IT policies and procedures to maintain the integrity and security of IT systems.

  • Be appointed as the certified Data Protection Officer to ensure the company adheres to strict data protection laws and procedures.

  • Develop and maintain detailed documentation of IT systems, configurations, and procedures.

  • Collaborate with vendors and service providers to support hardware and software procurement and maintenance.

  • Build and maintain the company website, ensuring it is functional, user-friendly, and up-to-date.

  • Optimize the company website for search engines (SEO) to enhance online visibility and drive traffic.

  • Stay updated with the latest technology trends, emerging threats, and best practices in IT administration.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.

  • Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Network+, CompTIA Security+, or Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA) are preferred.

  • Proven experience as an IT Administrator or in a similar role.

  • Strong knowledge of network protocols, security, and infrastructure.

  • Proficiency in managing and troubleshooting operating systems (Windows, Linux, macOS).

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work well under pressure.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to support and educate end-users.

  • Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and data security standards.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Experience in building and maintaining websites, including knowledge of web development languages and CMS platforms.
